Are Blackberry phones really "dead?"?

So I'm up for a new phone, and my options are : Blackberry Torch, Samsung Captivate, or the iPhone 3Gs. I love the blackberry the most, but everyone keeps telling me how blackberry is dead and outdated and it sucks. is this really true? I'm just not very into the Android or iPhone..I use my phone for heavy texting, facebook, music, and looking at a website here and there. What should I do?
