Can someone show me a mezzo-soprano's range on a staff?

I see vocal ranges written as stuff like "Eb3-E5" and stuff like that with multiple letters and numbers. I don't know what this means! I read something about Joan Jett's range being mezzo-soprano, and I would like to put the notes onto a staff on Finale Notepad and play it back so I get an idea of what it should sound like. A mezzo-soprano's range is A3-A5 according to Wikipedia.How do I do this??
