What are your thoughts on marriage?

A marriage is a social institution, and is still a norm/expectation for a long-term couple. I have no qualms about fitting in with the majority, so I don't view marriage as anything other than a "social vehicle" for our relationship. As far as 50% of marriages ending in divorce goes... well, 100% of those who live will die - and...?
